Yeah, you read it right. In our tredtwo, we’re talking about ETHICS (and nothing but it) and we also discussed it in persef2. Good thing is, we only discussed it for one day. Whew. But the bad thing is it made me more confused about ethics. In our tredtwo class, ethics and morality are connected while in persef2, it’s not. So what’s the truth now huh?
I must admit that ethics is a really boring topic and pair it with a professor who keeps on saying the same things. SO BORING, right? Anyway, ethics has to do something about doing what’s good and what’s right while not harming anyone. Does that sound good? I hope so. Hahaha. But ethics can mean differently to other people. It may involve others feelings or it may about religion. Whatever the meaning is, just leave it to the experts. Hahaha. Anyway, if that’s what ethics mean so sex is ethical? Hahahaha. TREDTWO! :p I don’t want to think about tredtwo yet. Sometimes, we think that ethics is about being accepted by society but it’s really not. According to sociologist Raymond Baumhart, “Ethics refers to well based standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues” (Issues in Ethics, IIE V1 N1,Fall 1987). So is my own definition correct? Hahaha. Quite close, watcha think? :p So it means, it involves our conscience because its about right and wrong and whatever.
